Hello there, I’m Kristy MacKenna. I’m 39 (and holding!) and I LOVE all types of photography. For my own enrichment, I like to go on nature hikes and photograph everything that catches my eye. I also like to join groups of other photographers on “photo walks.” I think the best explanation of this activity comes from Wikipedia:
“It (photo walks or photo walking) is often done as a method to practice and improve one’s own photography skills rather than a with specific focus on documentary photography. It is usually a communal activity organised by camera clubs, online forums or commercial organizations.”
Although I started out as a hobbyist, I now make my living behind the camera, and the bulk of my business is wedding photography. I started out doing it for a few friends as a favor and found out that I really liked it, and that people were willing to pay good money for it too.
My goal here is to help you realize your dream of becoming a professional wedding photographer, or perhaps even creating that dream in the first place. You don’t need years of schooling, just some solid instruction from a good wedding photography course, and I’ll do my best to help you find the right one!
